The construction ‘I always watch series in the evening’ – gives us just a fact of what a person usually does; in case we use the Present Continuous Tense like ‘I am always watching series in the evening’ that means that we do smth too often and we wish not to do it so often and so much.
And not to make you bored by grammar only I try to give you 10 facts of what I am always doing.
10. I am always worrying at night before an exam.
9. I am always wasting too much time just staring at my week’s timetable.
8. I am always drinking coffee in the morning.
7. I am always checking several times when this or that event starts.
6. I am always eating fast food.
5. I am always reading strange books (as some people say).
4. I am always feeling lonely.
3. I am always missing good opportunities.
2. I am always looking for a chance to study something new.
1. I am always longing for traveling.
P.S. When I was writing this list I didn’t choose only those habits I’d like to get rid of but also some things I like about myself though I find them rather ridiculous. And that fact allowed me to put them on the list as well. So, I don’t believe that we should use this construction as just negative (especially when we speak of ourselves), but in this way, we underline things and actions we can’t help doing. Finally, some positive exaggeration!
P.S
1. Не узнала конструкцию в первом лице единственном числе.
2. Но надеюсь, теперь запомню наверняка.
3. Как дает грамматика - тут с положительной коннотацией не очень, но чутье говорит, что вполне может быть. Надо поискать такие примеры в литературе.
